Hidden Treasures
Hope you’re enjoying a lucky Friday the 13th! For today’s newsletter, I’m only going to talk about Substack. I can actually hear your eyes rolling. But I’ll ask you to please hang with me for a minute here. I’ll keep this short, and hopefully, you’ll be glad you stuck around.
As I said in my welcome newsletter, I’m new to posting on Substack, but I’ve been here as a reader for a few years. It’s like the other SM platforms without all the shouting. As much as I’d love for you to subscribe to my newsletter and get the full benefit of my entire publication, I’m convinced that you’ll have much to gain by signing up for a Substack account in many more ways.
I’d bet you can find just about any common interest here and some uncommon ones, too. Someone recently told me about a taxidermy publication on Substack. Not my thing, but you never know who’s into that. Take a minute to look around. I guarantee you’ll find something educational, informative, or just plain fun, from gardening to running to reading. I’d love to hear back about some of the topics you find in your search for hidden treasures.
I’ll also add that while all my newsletters and other posts will always be free to all subscribers, I’m getting close to turning on paid subscriptions in the very near future. With this, you’ll have added benefits such as access to live chats and streams, the chance to be on my Advanced Reader Team, peeks into writing sessions, and much more. (BTW, those of you who are already members of my ARC team will get a gift, paid subscription.) If you have questions about how this works, just comment if you’re subscribed or reply to the email.
So, give it a shot, and let me know what you think. And finally, I promise this will be the last time I devote my newsletter to extolling the virtues of Substack.
PS - For those of you who already subscribed, much appreciated!
PPS – For the few of you who subscribe to both of my publications, this is one of my occasional duplicate newsletters, so you can just read it once.
Have a great one, and as always, happy reading!
